Revolution 3 Tour featuring Stone Temple Pilots, Bush & The Cult 7/28/2018

If you would have told me that 3 of the biggest rock bands would be touring together I would have thought it would never happen. Well on 7/28/2018 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ that’s exactly what happened.

The Revolution 3 Tour featuring Stone Temple Pilots, Bush & The Culthas been underway a little over a week before making its way to Holmdel. Thousands of fans drove from all over to be a part of this incredible tour.
Kicking off the night were The Cult fronted by the great Ian Astbury. The guys had the crowd up on their feet dancing and singing for their whole set. After all these years Astbury is still a one hell of a frontman.
Taking the stage next was the great Gavin Rossdale and his band Bush. Kicking things off with Machinehead and playin all their hits and included a great cover of The Beatles classic Come Together. To top it off, Rossdale made his way through the crowd during the performance of Glycerine which left the crowd in awe.
Finally it was time for the night’s headliner The Stone Temple Pilots. After the passing of Scott Weiland in 2015 and the more recent passing of Chester Bennington, STP took the stage with the newest singer Jeff Gutt. Many fans have commented that the band needs to just give it up and that it’s not the same without Weiland. Well I admit I miss Weiland, Gutt does an absolutely amazing job. This being my third time seeing the guys with Gutt behind the microphone I have to say he just gets better and better. I encourage Stone Temple Pilots fans to have an open mind and give Gutt a chance and you won’t be disappointed.
The Revolution 3 Tour has been the best event of 2018 for RockView Live 🤘
