Daryl Hall & John Oates, often referred to as Hall & Oates, are an American pop rock duo formed in 1970 in Philadelphia. Daryl Hall is generally the lead vocalist; John Oates primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals. The two write most of the songs they perform, separately or in collaboration.
Hall & Oates made a stop at the Great Allentown Fair in Allentown, PA. G Love & Special Sauce were brought along for direct support.
As a favorite band of mine growing up I was beyond excited to be covering this show. Daryl Hall & John Oates follow their band on stage and immediately go into my two all time favorite Maneater followed by Out Of Touch.
For an hour and a half, Hall & Oates played song after song including all their hits. Not only did they play all their hits, they played an amazing rendition of The Righteous Brothers’ You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’. The boys from Philly played an impressive 15 song set including a 4 song encore ending the night with You Make My Dreams.
After all these years they still got it. I was very impressed and entertained the whole night. Be sure to check them out if you ever get a chance. Go to https://www.hallandoates.com/welcome for tour dates and info.
