Los Angeles rock band Tool takes to the road in support of their long awaited album Fear Inoculum. For 13 years fans have waited for new music from the almighty Tool to become a reality. Not only did they release a new album they put all their music on all streaming services for the very first time.
On November 18th, 2019 Tool made a stop at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. Tool brought along Killing Joke for direct support on this tour.
After Killing Joke got the crowd all warmed up it was finally time everyone one including myself has been waiting for. In front of a sold out crowd Tool fans erupted as the lights go dim and band members take the stage kicking things off with self titled track off their latest album Fear Inoculum. After a brief amount of time frontman Maynard James Keenan makes his way to the stage.
After playing 10 songs, the band leaves the stage and a giant timer counts down 12 minutes before Tool returns for their encore. Danny Carey returns alone playing a solo on a large gong before the rest of the band makes their way back to the stage. Right before the final song Maynard makes an announcement for everyone to go ahead and pull their phones out. It had been a strict no phone policy up until this point. Almost everyone in attendance was taking photos and recording as Tool finished the night off with Stinkfist.
After finally seeing Tool for the first timeI have to say it was well worth the wait. Tonight was without a doubt one of my all time favorite concerts. If Tool comes anywhere near your area do not hesitate to go see them.
