The Metal Tour Of The Year featuring metal legends Megadeth and Lamb Of God hit the road for the second leg of the tour. After a successful first leg the bands are trekking across America starting in Las Vegas, Nevada and wrapping up in Quebec City, Quebec.
On May 15, 2022 one of the Big 4 of metal, Megadeth made a stop on The Metal Tour Of The Year to the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Megadeth and Lamb Of God brought out Orlando metal band Trivium and In Flames from Sweden along as direct support.
Swedish heavy metal rockers In Flames kicked off the night and started their set with one of my favorites, Cloud Connected. In Flames may have played a shorter set than the rest, but their performance was huge.

Setlist:
1. Cloud Connected
2. Behind Space
3. Everything’s Gone
4. Where The Dead Ships Dwell
5. Call My Name
6. All For Me
7. I Am Above
8. Take This Life

Up next where Orlando rockers Trivium fronted Matthew Heafy. Trivium still remains one of my favorite bands to see live. Frontman Matt Heafy announced he wasn’t having some vocal issues, but he did an outstanding job. They bring it every time they hit the stage.

Setlist:
1. In The Court Of The Dragon
2. Like A Sword Over Damocles
3. Beyond Oblivion
4. Strife
5. Rain
6. Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr (Corey on vocals)
7. Capsizing The Sea
8. In Waves

Virginia rockers Lamb Of God, were on fire tonight as they always are. I never get tired of seeing these guys live as they put on one hell of a show. I went to high school with guitarist Mark Morton and always love to watch him on stage ever since I was a Freshman watching him and his band at the time Killing Cycle.

Setlist:
1. Memento Mori
2. Ruin
3. Walk With Me In Hell
4. Now You’ve Got Something To Die For
5. Contractor
6. 11th Hour
7. 512
8. Ghost Walking
9. Black Label
10. Laid To Rest
11. Redneck

And it was finally time for metal legends Megadeth to end the night. Frontman Dave Mustaine has been one of my favorite guitarist/vocalist since the 80s. From the moment Mustaine and the guys took to the stage, it was pure perfection. Nothing better than seeing Mustaine and Megadeth live.

Setlist:
1. Hangar 18
2. Dread And The Fugitive Mind
3. Angry Again
4. Conquer Or Die!
5. Dystopia
6. The Conjuring
7. Sweating Bullets
8. A Tout Le Monde
9. Trust
10. Symphony Of Destruction
11. Peace Sells
Encore:
12. Holy Wars…The Punishment Due
