Shinedown and Billy Idol close out MMRBQ 2023

MMRBQ is 93.3 WMMR’s annual celebration of the summer concert season. This annual party brings rock fans a day of bands and entertainment.

On May 16, 2023 the annual MMRBQ was headlined by Jacksonville rock band Shinedown. This MMRBQ marks the 4th appearance for Shinedown at the annual event. Taking the stage right before Shinedown and making his first appearance at the MMRBQ is no other than English rock legend Billy “Fucking” Idol.

Billy Idol and his band took the stage and kicked things off with Dancing With Myself. For an hour Idol rocked in front of a packed crowd including a stunning guitar solo by Steve Stevens. It’s clear Billy Idol can still kill it at 67 years old!

I don’t know what else to say other than holy shit, what an amazing show! For almost an hour and 45 minutes, Shinedown put on one of the best Shinedown shows I have ever seen. Ever time I witness Brent, Zach, Eric and Barry on stage I’m blown away by the pure energy Shinedown brings with them.
