Pantera’s Epic Show in Baltimore

And then, the moment we had all been waiting for – Pantera took the stage. The legends themselves graced us with their presence and it was a sight to behold. From the first note to the last, Pantera blew us away with their raw talent and unrelenting energy. Pantera’s lineup includes two surviving members from the band’s classic formation, Anselmo and Rex Brown(bass), along with guitarist
Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax). Classics like “Walk” and “Domination/Hollow” had the crowd in a frenzy, mosh pits forming left and right.

Phil Anselmo’s Tribute to Dimebag Darrell Abbott

But perhaps the most moving moment of the night came when Phil Anselmo brought a fan on stage who bore a striking resemblance to the late, great Dimebag Darrell Abbott. The fan who’s name was Hunter, was invited onstage to join the band performing “F*cking Hostile” from Pantera’s 1992 album, Vulgar Display Of Power. The crowd fell silent as they watched this fan pay tribute to the fallen guitarist, a touching moment that reminded us all of the impact Darrell had on Pantera and their fans.

Phil said:

There’s only one, but people might believe in reincarnation and stuff like that. There could be a young Dimebag right up front. Dude just shake your head like that and everybody in the whole place will see it. When I first met Dime, his lid was exactly that length the first or second time we smoked a cigarette together. I couldn’t stop laughing man, his lid was cracking me up. You want to come up here and jam up here? Get up here!

Conclusion

All in all, the Pantera show in Baltimore with Lamb of God was a night to remember. From the powerful performance of Lamb of God to the epic set by Pantera, it was a metalhead’s dream come true. And with Philip Anselmo‘s tribute to Dimebag, the night took on an emotional depth that touched us all. We left that venue with our ears ringing and our hearts full, grateful for the opportunity to witness such a legendary show.
