Green Day and The Saviors Tour ignite Hershey

On a gorgeous Labor Day 2024, Green Day came to beautiful Hershey, Pennsylvania with The Saviors Tour. The Saviors Tour brings us one of the best lineups of the summer. Green Day brought out Chicago rockers, Smashing Pumpkins, punk rockers, Rancid and The Linda Lindas

The Saviors Tour at Hershey Stadium was originally scheduled for August 10, but after Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong lost his voice after their performance in Philadelphia

The all-female Los Angeles rock band, The Linda Linda’s kicked the night off with a fun start to the epic night. Quite an impressive set from a group of kids ranging from 14 to 19.

Next up, one of my all time favorite punk bands of all time, Rancid. Frontman and guitarist, Tim Armstrong always comes out with the guys and just puts on a fun and energetic show. Rancid ended their set with their two biggest hits “Time Bomb” and “Ruby Soho”.

The Smashing Pumpkins came out next probably put on the best performance I have ever seen from them. Frontman Billy Corgan and the rest of the band came out ready to put on one hell of a show for the Hershey crowd. I don’t think the setlist could have been much better  with playing so many of their hits including “Today”, “Tonight, Tonight”, “Disarm”, “1979” amd so many more.

After such great sets from The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas, it was finally time for Green Day to come out and blow away the Hershey crowd.

And blow away is exactly what frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, drummer Tre Cool and their touring musicians did. For two and a half hours, the Los Angeles rockers put on one mind-blowing performance.

Not only did you get to witness Green Day perform their albums “Dookie” & “American Idiot” in their entirety. Armstrong, Dirnt and Cool made sure to play many of their other hits including “Minority”, “Brain Stew” and “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)”.

I have seen Green Day countless times and their Hershey performance has to be the best I have ever seen. This is definitely the tour of the summer and it is not to be missed.
