It’s well known, the electrifying anticipation of a concert is like no other, with arriving people of all types singing, discussing and laughing about past shows from the featured bands of the night. The “Summer of ‘99” tour featuring headliner Creed, with special guests 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven at the Hard Rock Etess Arena in Atlantic City, NJ was no exception.
With great enthusiasm, fans arrived for a night to remember, ready to transport themselves back to 1999! Fans highly anticipating a show just like the concerts they saw in their younger years.
Coming out to open the night in full force was the Canadian rockers Finger Eleven, who took the stage with a high-energy set that got the fans pumped up for the night ahead. It was clear from the start that Finger Eleven was having a great time, as lead singer Scott Anderson smiled the entire set. Even guitarist Rick Jackett spun and flipped his guitar in an aerobic performance that would make U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds jealous. To finish the set off, the band performed a special version of the smash hit “Paralyzer” by blending Genesis’s “That’s All” with AC/DC’s “Back in Black.”

With Matrix inspired graphics on jumbo LED light panels on stage, 3 Doors Down took the stage with their signature hard hitting style. Playing hit after hit, 3 Doors Down sounded as fresh as when the band first started out years ago. After a short chat with the fans, frontman Brad Arnold thanked everyone for continuing their support for the band and got into more hit songs like “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You” and ending with the smash hit “When I’m Gone.”
