There are times where you just need to have a night out of tremendous fun. Babymetal’s concert at the Wind Creek Event Center was just that and a lot more.
As The KAMI BAND stepped out onto the stage, a thunderous roar from the crowd clearly indicated the start of the show. As the band started the notes of “Babymetal Death,” fans went crazy as Su-metal, Momometal and Moametal took to the stage. While wearing outfits made of stunning iridescent fabric that reflected in varied colors, the three young ladies slowly walked to the middle of the stage. After a slight pause, the band and singers exploded into action. The Kami Band, thundering on their instruments, all three singers singing and performing epic dance moves. Their musical performance consisting of the sound of metal mixed with techno, teamed up with absolutely outstanding choreography. It was in a word, fun!
As the band waved to the crowd, fans cheered, jumped, and spun towels in delight. Tremendous smiles and laughs could be seen from the young ladies on stage while looking into packed venue. Their faces definitely showing they were having an outstanding time with the fans.
Performing a lighter 12 song set, Babymetal played all the hits, with a few new songs mixed in. Babymetal did not hold anything back as the band played hits like “Pa Pa Ya,” “Da Da Dance,” “Gimme Chocolate,” “Headbangeeeeerrrr!!,” and “RATATATA.”
Most of Babymetal’s sets remain largely unchanged and the same as past shows. Only when new music is released does the set list change in a very minor way. However, in the eyes of the fans, it does not matter, this is a band loved by many, and one thing is clear, with the number of sold out shows around the world, Babymetal looks to have a long career in front of them.
