L.S Dunes Delivers Electrifying Performance in Brooklyn

L.S Dunes took the stage Saturday night at Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY to a capacity crowd. The supergroup consisting of members of Circa Survive, My Chemical Romance, Thursday and Coheed and Cambria are out in support of their latest album titled “Violet” which came out just a few weeks back. Violet is the follow up to the groups 2022 debut album “Past Lives” and finds Anthony Green and company finding the sound of L.S Dunes.

The Group took to the stage promptly at 9pm to an audience that was one of the most energized and excited crowds I’ve seen at a NYC show in quite some time. The show kicked off with the track “Like Magick” which starts slow but quickly kicks in to the full band shortly after. From that moment of it was pure chaos throughout with crowd surfers flying over the rail with what felt like within seconds of each other.

During “Fatal Deluxe” Green flings the microphone into the crowd allowing the crowd to help with vocal duties. Guitarist Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance fame pounds on his string viciously as Green maintains high energy non-stop throughout the groups nearly 90 minute setlist. The set which features 8 out of the 9 songs on Violet and 6 tracks from Past Lives which included “Grey Veins”, “2022” and of course the fan favorite “Permanent Rebellion” which had the crowd creating a circle pit in the middle of the floor while fans closer to the stage screamed back at the band.

Overall L.S Dunes sounded phenomenal as they should seeing they’re all well seasoned musicians from larger projects, vocalist Anthony Green performs like he’s in his 20’s and he sounded the best I’ve seen in years. The band is tight and the guitar tones and snare and kick drum compliment the live environment really well with some songs sounding even better live then on the records.

Overall even though L.S Dunes is the newer/smaller of all these guys projects, I predict this won’t be the case for much longer. It was one of best shows I’ve seen in a long
Time and all elements the crowd’s energy, the venue lighting and sound and of course the bands performance made for an absolutely stellar night for anyone in attendance.

L.S Dunes is out on the road now and if they’re hitting your city, I suggest making it a point to try to make it out to a show!
