Mac Sabbath Brings the Tasteful Sounds of “Drive Thru Metal” to Philadelphia.

Walking into the Brooklyn Bowl in Philadelphia, a carnival-like atmosphere enveloped you. The workers wore attire reminiscent of fry cooks from bygone eras, while fans donned costumes that resembled an order of fries or even a milkshake and more.

To kick off the night on a unique note, the experimental rock band Flummox took the stage first to open the show. Their wacky stage antics and colorful sounds definitely set the tone for the evening ahead.

Following Flummox’s set, the punk rockers of Guttermouth took the stage. Known for their deliberate, explicit, offensive, and outrageous lyrics, Guttermouth shocked and entertained the crowd with their wacky humor and sarcastic ways.

Finally, the part everyone was waiting for arrived: the arrival of Mac Sabbath! With a yellow and red tarp stretched across the stage to hide the stage setup from the fans, while music about food played in the background. Before long, the tarp dropped, revealing Grimalice, Catburglar, and Slayer MacCheese standing before their fans.

The singer Ronald Osbourne, made his grand entrance on stage, donning an exquisite tuxedo that seemed to shimmer under the spotlight. Before embarking on the next song, Osbourne gracefully removed his tuxedo and proceeded to pick up a ketchup and mustard bottle in each hand. With a playful grin, he squirted the liquid into his mouth, sending a burst of liquid all over his face, but Osbourne’s antics didn’t end there. He then proceeded to squirt the fans in attendance, creating a delightful and unexpected surprise for everyone in the audience.

As Mac Sabbath ignited the stage grill, the band delivered some of the best classic Black Sabbath parodies a fan could ever hope for. They played hit songs like “Sweet Beef,” “Chicken for the Slaves,” and concluded with the timeless classic “Pair-a-Buns.”

Whether it was your first time or your 80th time witnessing Mac Sabbath live, you’re guaranteed to be treated to a spectacular and family-friendly show.
