Trivium and Bullet for My Valentine Deliver an Ear-Shattering Show of Perfection at the Fillmore

With a nearly sold-out crowd and strong support from Bleed From Within and August Burns Red, the legendary metal bands Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium joined forces to deliver an unforgettable tour at the Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 30, 2025.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of two beloved albums, BFMV’s The Poison and Trivium’s Ascendancy, the two iconic bands embarked on a joint tour titled The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.

Bleed From Within, the Scottish metalcore rockers, kicked off the night with a powerful set that got the crowd moshing, crowd surfing, and more.

August Burns Red, a local band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, took the stage and electrified the crowd with an exceptional cover of System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” They continued with a series of epic songs, including “Exhumed,” “Mariana’s Trench,” “White Washed,” and many others, delivering a solid set that kept fans rocking out.

Bullet for My Valentine transported their fans back approximately 20 years for the beginning of their electrifying set. The performance commenced with the powerful rendition of “Her Voice Resides,” followed by the energetic track “Tears Don’t Fall,” the upbeat “Hit the Floor,” and concluded with the anthemic “The End.” Throughout the set, the band radiated infectious smiles as fans enthusiastically pumped their fists in the air and engaged in nonstop crowd surfing, creating an unforgettable and energetic atmosphere.

Trivium concluded the night with an impressive high-energy set. Starting with the song “Rain,” the crowd erupted in cheers and remained electrified throughout the performance. Hits like “Dying in Your Arms,” “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr,” and “Like Light to the Flies” made Trivium feel like the headliners of the show, surpassing the other bands with ease. Matt Heafy’s voice was in exceptional form, and Trivium delivered an unbeatable performance.

It was evident all the bands appeared to be having an incredible time. The smiles, knuckle bumps, high fives, and other gestures showcased the joy and camaraderie among the performers and fans.
