MMRBQ is an annual event put on by Philly based radio station 99.3 WMMR. MMRBQ brings national and local bands together for a day of live music and festivities.
The very first MMRBQ took place back in 2007 and the only year was held for two days. This year’s event marks the 18th MMRBQ since the beginning only missing 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
On May 10, 2025, WMMR brought us the MMRBQ bringing Canada rockers Three Days Grace. This year was the third time Three Days Grace has appeared at the annual event and the first time headlining. Seattle grunge rockers Alice In Chains were originally slated as headliner, but had to pull out due to medical reasons from drummer Sean Kinney.
Also appearing this year were Bush, Mammoth WVH, Dorothy, Dead Poet Society, Octane, Return To Dust and Fat Mezz. Also returning will be Preston & Steve’s side stage and live band karaoke.
Three Days Grace hit the stage and with all members including the return of original singer, Adam Gontier. Gontier’s return has been awaited by fans since 2013. Gontier was replaced by bassist Brad Walst’s brother Matt in 2014 and the band continued on with guitarist Barry Stock and drummer Neil Sanderson.
Wow, it’s been a long time coming for this reunion and what a show they put on. I wasn’t sure how the vocal duties between Gontier & Walst would go, but they did it perfectly. Very well may have been the best Three Days Grace show I have ever seen.
