Jelly Roll Warms Up Hersheypark Stadium with Soul, Grit, and Heart

Before Post Malone lit up the night sky over Hershey, it was Jelly Roll who first lit a fire in the crowd’s hearts.

Performing to a packed stadium braving pouring rain on May 28, Jelly Roll brought his signature mix of country, hip-hop, and rock grit to the stage with unmatched vulnerability and power. From the moment “Heart of Stone” kicked off his set, the Tennessee native had Hershey in the palm of his hand.

He powered through emotionally charged performances of “Liar” and “I Am Not Okay,” drawing raw energy from the weather and leaning into the storm like it was part of the show. One of the night’s standout moments came during “Wild Ones,” a Jessie Murph cover that showcased Jelly’s ability to turn a ballad into an arena-wide singalong.

The heartfelt “Son of a Sinner” and his now-signature anthem “Need a Favor” hit deep, while his cover of Brandon Lake’s “Hard Fought Hallelujah” brought a spiritual wave over the drenched but devoted crowd.

Closing with “Save Me,” Jelly Roll left the stage having done more than warm up the audience—he delivered a full-bodied set that could’ve headlined on its own.
